Join us this summer for all the fun at Maker Fun Factory VBS! At Maker Fun Factory VBS, kids discover not only that God made them the way they are, but for a purpose too.

Maker Fun Factory is filled with incredible Bible-learning experiences kids see, hear, touch, and even taste! Science Fun, team-building games, cool Bible lessons and songs, awesome crafts, and tasty treats are just a few of the standout activities that help faith flow into real life. Plus, we’ll discover how to see evidence of God in everyday life – something we call God Sightings.

Kids will participate in a local region mission’s project throughout the week (see below). They’ll also become Cuba First Baptist super stars in the Spotlight VBS show every day. Maker Fun Factory t-shirts and CDs will be available to purchase prior to and during VBS week.

The VBS fun runs Monday, August 14th through Friday, August 18th from 9:00AM to 12:00PM. We will end the week with a Family Movie Night on Friday at 6:00PM with a showing of Beauty and the Beast.

Parents, grandparents, family and friends are invited to join us at 10:00 on Sunday, August 20th for VBS Sunday where we’ll share songs and the lessons that we learned at Maker Fun Factory VBS. We hope you can join us!

All children entering kindergarten – 6th grade are invited to attend this year’s VBS. Early registration is encouraged. Volunteers are also needed. Older students are welcome to volunteer, along with any congregation member.

We are in need of decorators, group leaders, craft leaders, Preschool helpers, and many more! Please contact Melissa Grover at 585-610-7082 or sign up in the court to attend or volunteer.

VBS Mission Project Announced!

This year the children attending VBS will be supporting a LOCAL mission! They will be supporting the Abbe- Freeland Animal Sanctuary in Angelica, NY.

AFAS is a not for profit, volunteer run, wildlife rehabilitation center and has given a second chance to hundreds of injured and orphaned wild ones since 1989. The primary goal is to rehabilitate and release wildlife back into the wild, but sometimes the injuries the animals sustain render them incapable of surviving in their wild environment. If these handicapped individuals adjust well to life in captivity, they become a part of their public education and/or their surrogate programs. Every effort is made to provide these no-releasable wild ones with the care and surroundings in which THEY are comfortable, happy and content. AFAS’s hope that by sharing these special wild ones, people will come to appreciate their wild neighbors and learn to peacefully coexist with them.

The children will be collecting money and also the following items to benefit this great project. Anyone wishing to help the children reach their objective, could contribute (please place financial donations in an envelope earmarked for VBS and place in the offering or drop off in the church office), or bring in any of needed items by August 18th.

Perishable items should be marked and left in the church kitchen/refrigerator. All others can be placed in the bin in the fellowship hall – marked AFAS
